The Outsiders Project
The Outsiders Project was completed during my Teaching In The Middle Years class and my Literature for Adolescents class. It is a project that is linked with 7th grade students from Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School. We were able to create music videos based on The Outsiders to help students better understand the novel and be able to interact with students and college students for one hour every Wednesday for the last five weeks of the semester. TOP 2013 was completed during my Teaching In The Middle Years class, and TOP 2014 was completed during my Literature for Adolescents class.

Wolfpack Writing Project
The Wolfpack Writing Project was completed during my Teaching Writing Across The Curriculum class. Our class worked with students from Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School to create poetry and learn about writing poems. We helped students by completing different writing activities to better our writing and poetry knowledge. This was completed during the last five weeks of the semester and we ended it with a poetry slam, sharing every pair's poems with the group after having recorded them the week before.
Roaring Twenties Gallery Walk (during Student Teaching)
During the World War I/Boom & Bust Unit that I created to teach during my student teaching, one of my favorite lessons was the day I taught about the Roaring Twenties. Students went through a gallery walk of the room, writing information down into a graphic organizer about all different components of the Roaring Twenties (Science & Technology, Arts & Entertainment, Life in the 20s, and Fashion). The students walked around the room in groups, and entered the room that day with a red carpet entrance. It was an enjoyable lesson for the students and something different than the usual PowerPoint to learn about the 20s!
